beginnings of hessian
beginnings of working with a sandbag type material over the canvas to explore the way paint across it.
recent work.
here are some of my most recent workings. they are exploring what different paint does against each other. the way that the coloured paint becomes isolated within the background of the white paint, then the background of a white wall, is of particular interest aswell.

Drips
This is a selection of some of the drips i produced in my second year. The idea of a single element falling down the page due to the gravity interested me.
Butterfly
Within photography I am interested in moments and spontanious things. This butterfly had flown into my room unexpectedly in the middle of December, a time of year I had not connected with butterflies.
Ian Curtis
paintings/drawings of Ian Curtis (Joy Division). Curtis's isolated, painful story is of constant interest with my work. sometimes following the idea of the isolation.
